FAQ

How do I ship?

Ship your barrel (and muzzle device if applicable) with the completed work order by any carrier to the address that was emailed to you when you completed the work order.  If you are sending the barreled receiver (i.e. the serialized portion of the firearm) or the complete firearm, you must ship by UPS or FedEx per their firearm shipping requirements. We are not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen shipments. PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:

• Insure your shipment for an amount that it would cost you to replace the item.
• Ship in a rectangular box, not a tube.
• Wrap your barrel in something that will not scratch the finish such as bubble wrap or an old CLEAN t-shirt.
• DO NOT wrap your barrel with shipping tape. Please use rubber bands, masking tape or painters tape that can be easily removed.
• If sending the barreled action that has the trigger, wrap the trigger in cardboard or something protective.
• Use a lot of padding/filler in your box.
  

How much is return shipping?

The cost is determined when the work is packaged to ship and the cost varies for reasons such as package weight, box dimensions, and the delivery location. All work is returned with insurance and a signature required for delivery. If you want to request an insured value, or a specific carrier, please note it in the comment section of the work order. You may also include a PRE-PAID return shipping label.

Will I be notified when my shipment is received?

No. You will need to keep your shipping tracking number and check with your shipping carrier for a delivery status. We will do our best to send an email notification when we receive your shipment, but it depends on our workload.

Will I be notified when the work is done?

Yes. When the work is complete, we will email you the return tracking number.  We will also call or email you if we have any questions about the work.

Will the bare metal be exposed?

We touch up the machined area with a blackening agent that re-oxidizes the aluminum and steel at no extra charge. The bare metal will be exposed on stainless steel barrels.

Do you send back the old parts that were removed?

No, not unless you specifically request that the parts be returned. This includes but not limited to items such as, flash hiders, sights, handguard caps, and packaging the muzzle device came in.

I am sending my complete upper/firearm. I know you will have to disassemble it for a fee, but can I reassemble it myself?

No.  If the upper/firearm has to be disassembled, we require that we also reassemble it. This ensures that there are no parts lost in shipping, and that your upper/firearm is in the same assembled condition as when it was shipped to us. *The disassemble/reassemble fee varies by firearm model.

I am sending a pre-drilled muzzle device. Is there a discount on the pin/weld service?

No. Holes on pre-drilled muzzle devices are too small, and will still need to be drilled.
