Please be aware that the Lex 9mm silencers that were manufactured before 2015 do not disassemble and are not user serviceable.

What ammunition should I use with my LEX 9mm?

  • You can use almost any factory ammunition that you want, which is 9mm x 19mm Parabellum on down as defined by NATO standards in size, velocity, energy, and pressure, and it is the correct ammunition for the firearm (Parabellum is also known as 9mm PARA, 9mm Luger, 9mm NATO).
  • To use 300 BLK (subsonic only), you will need an additional rear cap and piston to use with your fixed barrel spacer.
  • We have had great results with 147gr-165 gr subsonic ammo.
  • DO NOT use Rat Shot (Rat Shot is also known as snake shot, dust shot, canister shot, or shotshell).

What is the fixed barrel spacer used for?

  • The fixed barrel spacer is used on firearms with fixed barrels, such as rifles and submachine guns. This piece is used in place of the booster spring and used with the piston. It is needed to use the Lex 9mm, 9SX 9mm silencers, and Shepherd .45 silencers on fixed-barreled firearms.

How do I Adjust the Point of Impact?

The piston features four notches that engage with the index pin inside the booster housing. These notches allow for adjusting the point of impact to four different positions, helping fine-tune bullet impact.

Adjustment Steps:

  1. Ensure the firearm is unloaded, on safe, and the slide is locked back.
  2. With the suppressor still attached to the muzzle, pull it forward and rotate it 90 degrees.
  3. Test fire at each of the four positions.
  4. Determine the impact point and note its position for reference.

Can I use a HUB mount?

  • No. The Lex is not HUB compatible.

Can I shoot my Lex silencer wet?

Yes, just be sure to follow the guidelines below: don’t add too much ablative material, and always clean the Lex silencer thoroughly afterward.

  • What does “shooting wet” mean?
“Shooting wet” refers to adding an ablative material to your silencer to reduce noise during the first few rounds. We recommend only using water. Wire pulling gel and other materials may cause a baffle strike. The water helps cool and expand the gases inside the silencer, which reduces noise. However, it evaporates after a few rounds.
  • Is shooting wet safe for all silencers?
No. Not all silencers are designed for wet use. This information is specifically for the Lex 9mm silencer. Before adding an ablative material, check if your silencer is approved for wet shooting. Some silencers can be damaged by excessive pressure buildup.
  • How much ablative material should you use?
Use between half a teaspoon and one teaspoon of ablative material. Using too much can cause excessive pressure, potentially damaging your silencer.
  • How to add the ablative:
Place the ablative material in the back end of the suppressor before attaching it to your firearm.
  • Cleaning your silencer after shooting wet:
After shooting wet, make sure to clean your silencer thoroughly to prevent rust and avoid wet material leaking onto your firearm or into your gun safe.

Does the silencer void my firearm warranty?

  • The silencer should not void your factory firearm warranty. We recommend reaching out to the firearm manufacturer for their specific warranty information.
